Where it came from

Nobody owns the feeling.

Late 1980s — Karl Anthony writes Every Little Cell based off the melody of Shortnin’ Bread.

2020 — Allison Davies, music therapist in Tasmania, sings it for children during lockdown.

2026 — Wording shifts to every single cell. People add light tapping. Clips jump across social media.

Every Single Cell exists to honor the smallest piece — the spark, the chant, the message — and keep it alive with intention.

This site is a home for the words. The chant wasn’t born here, and the first voice wasn’t ours — but the message matters, so we’re giving it a place to live.
